Peckham Rye Sings

Peckham Rye Sings

Peckham Rye Sings is a vibrant and friendly community choir based in Peckham and led by local choir leader Xenia Davis. They sing joyful and uplifting songs, from pop arrangements to lullabies, and from countries spanning the British Isles, southern Africa, eastern Europe, north America and Georgia. All their songs are learnt by ear. They love the occasional flashmob, and are well known for audience participation. The choir meets on Monday evenings from 7.30-9pm at the Copleston Centre, and this year are celebrating their 10th birthday.

Tongue & Groove

Tongue & Groove are an amateur non-audition choir that teams a professional Musical Director from theatre with talented and dedicated amateur performers. We are all about entertaining & engaging the audience. We like to put on a good show.
Formed in 2017 by Caroline Smith & Robin Thompson, Tongue & Groove have performed live on BBC Radio London and this year they have sung in London, the ChoirBlast festival in Godalming and at The Amateur Manchester Choral Competition.

We make sure that our rehearsals on Tuesday evenings (in East Dulwich from 7:30 to 9:30pm)
are filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful experiences. We not only perfect our pitch and harmonies but also create a welcoming environment and foster friendships.

One of our members described a rehearsal as "Superfood for your mental health".

South London Voices

South London Voices

South London Voices is a fun and fabulous women’s choir based in Bermondsey in south London and was founded in 2012 by singer and singing teacher Kristina Nilsson.

The choir, which used to be called Bermondsey Voices, has performed at The Lord Mayor's Show, The Young Vic, St John's Waterloo, Bermondsey Carnival, Bermondsey Folk Music Festival, Bermondsey Street Festival and the Southbank Centre. Therapy choir also has a yearly Christmas concert in the beautiful St James Church in Bermondsey.

Kristina believes in a fun and varied repertoire so there is something for everyone to sing - rock, pop, opera, folk, blues, classical... the list is long.

The choir rehearses Tuesday evenings 7pm in St James Church near Bermondsey tube station, and sing SA and SSA arrangements.

Do you love to sing and have fun? Book your free taster rehearsal with choir leader Kristina on 07932 664 832. Please also visit our Instagram account: @south_london_voices and website

Palace Acappella Choir

Palace Acappella with Beckenham Acapella Choir

Palace Acappella joins new sister choir Beckenham Acappella to perform together at Herne Hill Sings On. Both choirs are run by local choir leader Eleanor Rastall, sharing core aims and values while maintaining their own individual identities. Both are non-auditioning community choirs, offer free taster sessions, and value social connection, collaboration and a supportive space to find and develop your voice and skills. In April this year Beckenham Acappella launched and Palace Acappella celebrated its 6th birthday! They are excited to perform together in the Herne Hill Festival, Beckenham Acappella for the first time.
